Why I Built Playwise HQ

Because I got sick of watching great reps lose winnable deals.

I’ve spent over 15 years in B2B sales—closing deals, leading teams, and going toe-to-toe with competitors in every market imaginable.

And if there’s one thing I learned the hard way, it’s this:

Most reps don’t lose because they’re bad.

They lose because they don’t know what they’re up against.

They get blindsided by a competitor on a call.

They “circle back” because they’re not sure how to respond.

They stall out mid-demo because no one told them what to say when that objection came up.

And the kicker?

We had battlecards. We had docs. We had Slack threads full of gold.

But they were either out of date, buried, ignored—or all three.

The Breaking Point

I remember one deal in particular.

It was our biggest opportunity of the year. A perfect fit for our solution.

We were shortlisted—one of only two final vendors.

And then we lost it. Mid-meeting, an objection came up and my rep froze.
“Let me get back to you,” he said.

That created just enough uncertainty. And while we did get back to them, our competitor had already locked it in.

We didn’t lose on price. Or product.
We lost on intel.

That was the moment I was done.

The Broken Enablement Stack

I looked around and realized everyone was duct-taping the same mess together:

  • Battlecards in tools like Notion that no one reads
  • Google Docs updated once a quarter (if ever)
  • Enablement decks made for SKO—not real conversations
  • Reps guessing how to sell against competitors

Let’s be honest: most “competitive enablement” is just noise.

It’s not usable.

It’s not fast.

And it’s definitely not built for the real world of B2B sales.

What Sales Teams Actually Need

I didn’t want a better template.

I wanted a weapon.

A system that delivered what reps actually need, when they need it:

✅ Competitor insights—instantly.
✅ Objection responses that actually work—pulled from real deals.
✅ Battlecards that update automatically—without burying enablement teams in admin.
✅ A UI so clean reps don’t just know where to look—they want to use it.

So I built Playwise HQ.

An AI-powered battlecard platform that captures what your best reps already know—then puts it in front of the whole team, in the exact moment it matters.

This Is a Mindset Shift.

Playwise HQ isn’t here to “help you manage your competitor data.”

We’re here to help you win the deals where a competitor thinks they’ve got the edge.

We’re here to kill the “I didn’t know what to say” excuse once and for all.

We’re here to build the future of sales intel:

Fast. Dynamic. Rep-powered. Damn near unfair.

Because your product deserves to win.

Your reps deserve to walk in with confidence.

And your competitors?

They deserve to be nervous every time your team joins the call.
